Company Overview - Beamblast.

The origin of the project
After six years in international tax in Luxembourg, I felt the need to get off the beaten track. I left everything behind to embark on a world backpacking trip, with the desire to refocus on what matters and broaden my horizons.
For five years, I traveled through Asia, South America, and Australia. These experiences profoundly transformed me. In Australia, I managed construction projects in the renewable energy sector, a hands-on immersion that strengthened my rigor, my hands-on experience, and my ability to lead teams in demanding environments.
These years of adventure also taught me to think differently, to show initiative, and to adapt quickly to the unexpected. “Think outside the box” became more than a mantra: it was a way of life and business.
Back in Belgium, I was certain of one thing: I wanted to start my own business.
One day, Robin, a longtime friend and now business partner, curious and very creative, showed me a video on Instagram. It showed a laser beam removing rust in a few seconds. It was a turning point. Robin immediately saw potential. He has a knack for spotting ideas that stand out from the crowd, for imagining new, innovative, and concrete applications.
Our discussions quickly intensified. Robin brought his vision, his attention to detail, and an approach always focused on innovation and the development of materials. I immersed myself in the technique. We ordered a first laser. In my garage, which had been converted into a makeshift workshop, we tested, adjusted, and tried again. We spent entire days understanding the settings and observing the beam’s reaction to different materials, surfaces, and contaminants. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. But every mistake taught us something.

Little by little, the results became more precise, more controlled. The idea took shape. And it was from this complementarity, between creative intuition and practical rigor, that Beamblast was born.
Beamblast is now a company specializing in laser cleaning and stripping. An innovative technology, gentle yet powerful, capable of revitalizing the most fragile as well as the most resistant materials. At the intersection of precision, cleanliness, and respect for surfaces, the laser is much more than a tool: it’s a new way of approaching the maintenance, restoration, and enhancement of materials.
This project is the result of everything that drives us: curiosity, technique, the pursuit of quality, and the desire to do business differently—with rigor, but also with purpose.

Technology Overview
Laser technology has a wide and precise range of applications, particularly thanks to the principle of ablation. Laser stripping relies on the use of a highly focused light beam generated by a fiber optic laser source. This beam instantly heats the surface layer of a material (paint, rust, varnish, grease, oxidation, etc.) until it vaporizes or separates from the substrate, without mechanical contact.
This localized thermal interaction causes controlled ablation: the material to be removed absorbs the beam's energy, while the substrate, often wood, stone, or metal, is minimally altered. This allows for highly precise work without deformation or excessive overheating.
